How deep do you grind the stump?

For most jobs we grind to around 250 to 300mm below the surface, deeper if you are planning to replant or build over the spot. Just tell us what you have in mind.

Can you reach a stump in my backyard?

In most cases yes. Our grinders are compact enough to fit through a standard side gate. If access is very tight, we will let you know the options when we quote.

What happens to the wood chips?

The grindings make excellent mulch. We can rake them back into the hole and over your garden, or cart them away, whichever you prefer.

Will the roots keep growing?

Once the stump is ground out and the tree is gone, the remaining roots simply break down over time. They will not regrow into a new tree.

Do you grind stumps from trees you did not remove?

Yes, plenty of our stump jobs come from trees removed by someone else, or storms. Happy to help either way.
